Puppy Eyes

Everyone loves a cute puppy.
Meet Taffie, the newest edition to my cousin's family.
She is a cute little bundle of cheeky-playfulness,
and it shows :)

The Garden Fairy

A child's imagination come to life: fairies in the garden!
Shooting for the Make A Wish Foundation last year, we took the families to a local cafe/gallery fittingly named "The Secret Garden". Out the back is a huge green field surrounded with gorgeous gardens. Our very own fairy showed up to play with the kids. I followed them down (kids and a sunny green field was a sure-fire photo heaven), and I noticed Miss Fairy seated by this garden sign while playing with some of the younger kids. This is the shot that I got.

P.S. The sunny-green-field + kids combination definitely paid-off, I wish I could upload some of those photos! But I can't for the privacy of the children.

Below we have some fun photos of Miss Fairy: a big colourful smile, and Miss Fairy riding a Harley later that day, which makes for quite the comical sight!

Yikes, Flying Bikes!

It was 'just your average afternoon of watching some of the JC Epidemic boys have fun on the jumps' - plenty of tricks, flips, whips and of course, crashes. These are some shots that I snapped while the BMXers did their thing. Light was fading fast, but I still had some photographic fun. Some of the shots required me to be wedged in the mound of dirt used for landing and underneath the take-off ramp. It was an interesting experience, but lots of fun, will definitely do it again :-)

Hang Gliding

Hang gliders are a regular sight where I live, but I was shooting on this particular afternoon for the Make A Wish Foundation. The kids were treated to their own hang-gliding show, and even got to have a taste of gliding themselves. These are some shots that I snapped of the pro's at work.

A Garden Shoot: Miss B.

The last poor victim to be subject to my camera was Miss B. She co-operated nicely with my odd requests, and looked gorgeous in her blue-and-purple themed attire.

A Garden Shoot: Miss S.

Little Miss S. also starred in the portfolio shoot, she was great - she enjoyed instruction!
She also looks gorgeous :)

A Garden Shoot: Miss J.

I did this series of shots for a portfolio shoot for make-up artist Annabelle Phillips. Miss J was a wonderful model, with good looks to boot :)

A Faceless Tale

I just love hands - a nightmare to draw, but a pleasure to photograph.
I met this lovely man while shooting a story for an assignment. As soon as I saw him I wanted to capture a part of him, keeping his identity hidden but allowing his hands to tell us something.

Tending to the Dress

A foggy and windy wedding day made for a gorgeous photoshoot, and a new husband only-so-happy-to tend to his wife's wedding dress throughout the shoot, making sure it was just right :)

Sherwood Park with Miss J.

Miss J. here was an enjoyable subject to photograph at a recent roaming in a park in Sherwood.
She ventured the park and I closely ventured with my camera

Moogerah

You guessed it, I shot this at lake Moogerah.
The sun was starting to disappear behind the mountains and so I was starting to walk around the other side of the lake back to the cabins. I got to this point however and loved what I saw, I got down really low and close to the water in a fairly awkward position (trying my hardest not to lose balance and fall in!).

Winter Is Here

Yep, you know Winter has arrived when you go for an afternoon jog wearing a thick jumper & scarf, and come across what is normally a very full, green tree looking like this.
I loved the contrast of the branches against the perfectly clear Winter's sky.
I finished up my jog early so that I could get home in time to get my camera and take these photos before I lost light. =)
